A Legacy Cultivated in the Himlayas

IFFCO Sikkim Organics is a landmark joint venture between the Government of Sikkim and IFFCO, dedicated to bringing the bounty of India’s first organic state to the world. Sourced from farm-fresh produce grown in the shadows of Mount Khangchendzonga, the range includes Turmeric (powder and flakes), Ginger (powder and flakes), Buckwheat flour, and Whole Cardamom. Our role at Albatross was to revitalize their packaging to reflect this unparalleled Himalayan provenance.

The Challenge of Cultural Resonance

The challenge was to move away from clinical, government-style aesthetics and create a brand identity that felt vibrant and high-end. We had to capture the specific "spirit of Sikkim" a blend of sacred geography and rich agricultural tradition, while ensuring the products stood out on competitive retail shelves without losing their authentic, farm-to-table roots.

An Unmistakable Sikkimese Identity

We reimagined the visual language using a palette of vibrant reds, deep greens, sun-drenched yellows, and regal golds, all drawn directly from the local flora and traditional Sikkimese art. By weaving these colors with motifs of the Khangchendzonga range, the new packaging makes the product feel like a piece of the land itself. The result is a bold, culturally-rich identity that honors the farmers of the cooperative while positioning their harvest as a premium gift from the Himalayas.
